Yak and Yeti

August 2009    Submitted by Dana

My family and I ate dinner at Yak and Yeti on Monday, August 25. The chef did come out and explain the menu to me (with little enthusiasm). I ordered the Beef and Broccoli. The only modification was that it did not come with the brown sauce. It was very good though. The only choices for dessert was a gluten free brownie, lemon sorbet or fresh fruit cup. I chose the fruit cup which was light and refreshing.

Tusker House

October 2008    Submitted by Karen

On Thursday 10/30/08 we ate at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom.  We had 1:10 ADRs with friends bringing our total number to 9 people (4 adults, 4 kids and 1 infant).  We waited a while for our name to be called, but there was a drum show going on right outside which kept the kids busy.  The restaurant was busy, but not packed.  Our waitress took our drink order right away and kept bringing refills throughout the meal.  Our family has food intolerances (all of us are gluten free) and we always need to see the chef before going to the buffet.  It took a few minutes for the chef to come out, but he took us on a tour of the buffet right away.  We could eat about two thirds of what was offered – which was plenty for us.  There was one seafood dish that the chef offered to make without the sauce.  He brought a dish of shrimp and scallops for us to share as well as some gf rolls and some fresh peanut butter.  Both my husband and I really enjoyed a tofu curry dish and the root vegetables.  Our kids found plenty that they liked too.  The chef brought us 4 gluten free brownies at the end of our meal.  I particularly liked the layout of the buffet.  There was plenty of space to move around and the small space between the stations made it easy to move from place to place without waiting in line for the whole buffet.  The décor of the restaurant was very nice, made us feel like we really were dining in a country far away.
